October 9 . . . A canyon you've never heard about.
We are very familiar with the Paria River, having hiked it’s headwaters in Bryce Canyon and camped along it’s desert stream where Clint Eastwood used to roam, but we never realized it’s depth and grandeur just above where it meets the Colorado River.
We needed GPS, a new map, and some route finding skills to find our way to the mesa, but all efforts were rewarded ten fold. We finally stopped driving, so we could walk along the rim and enjoy a view that seemed to change every few hundred yards. At the end of bluff, we settled in for lunch and simply took in the scene.

Sunday night rewarded us with Red Beans and Rice with Chicken, a healthy dose of Gates BBQ sauce and a resounding Packers win. CW was careful to charge the batteries in the morning, so we could enjoy Sunday Night Football with nein interruptions.
